Who can I give to on Charitable Impact?
An Impact Account is like an online bank account for charitable giving. When you add money to your account, you get a tax receipt. Then, you can take as much time as you need to decide who to give to.
You can give the money in your Impact Account to:
- Any registered charity in Canada. There are about 85,000 that are registered with the Canadian Revenue Agency, including: charitable organizations, public and private foundations, educational institutions, religious organizations, and qualified donees like municipalities, registered Canadian amateur athletic associations (RCAAAs), and arts and culture groups.
- Friends and family on Charitable Impact. When you give to other people, they can send gifts to the charities and causes of their choice from their Impact Account. Learn how to find friends on Charitable Impact.
- Giving Groups or Campaigns on Charitable Impact. Haven’t heard of a Giving Group on Charitable Impact? Learn how to join or start one today. If you’re interested in starting a Campaign, firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be happy to chat.
