Add and manage email addresses linked to your Impact Account

Only the primary email address linked to your Impact Account can be used to log in. It's where you'll receive instructions for resetting your password if you've forgotten it, as well as notifications about your giving activity. You can add multiple email addresses to your Impact Account. This can help make it easier for friends to give to you on Charitable Impact—they’ll be able to send you charitable dollars using any of the email addresses associated with your account.

Add a new email address

On the web: 

  1. Select your avatar icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard, then select Settings.
  2. Select Email in the left-hand navigation.
  3. On the Email screen, select the Add email button to add a new email address. You will receive an email with a verification link.
  4. Click the verification link to confirm that you would like to add the email address to your Impact Account. 

On the mobile app: 

  1. Select Profile from the bottom menu. 
  2. Select the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of your personal profile. 
  3. Select Personal information.
  4. Select Email
  5. Select the Add new email button to add a new email address. 
  6. Click the link in the verification email to confirm that you would like to add the email address to your Impact Account. 

Set an email address as primary 

On the web: 

  1. Select your avatar icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard, then select Profile settings.
  2. Select Email in the left-hand navigation.
  3. On the Email screen, select the three dots beside the email address you would like to set as primary.
  4. Select Set as primary.

On the mobile app:

  1. Select Profile from the bottom menu. 
  2. Select the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of your personal profile. 
  3. Select Personal Information.
  4. Select Email.
  5. Select the three dots beside the email address you would like to set as primary. 
  6. Select Set as primary

Note: When you set another email address as primary, you will be logged out and asked to log in to your Impact Account again using the email address you just set as primary.

Delete an email address 

On the web: 

  1. Select your avatar icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard, then select Profile settings.
  2. Select Email in the left-hand navigation.
  3. On the Email screen, select the three dots beside the email address you would like to delete.
  4. Select Delete email address

On the mobile app:

  1. Select Profile from the bottom menu. 
  2. Select the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of your personal profile. 
  3. Select Personal information.
  4. Select Email.
  5. Select the three dots beside the email address you would like to delete. 
  6. Select Delete.

Note: To delete an email address that is currently set as primary, you will first need to set another existing email address as primary or add a new email address and set it as primary.

Charity Account notifications

Email notifications are sent to the primary email address in your Impact Account. If you manage a Charity Account, any notifications related to the Charity Account are sent to your primary email address. Learn how to manage your notification preferences.
