Invite people to a Giving Group

Invite people to join your group to raise money together for causes you care about. Once people join your group, they become group members. Members are able to leave comments on the group’s activity tab, see money entering and leaving the Giving Group, and receive updates on group activity.

Creating and managing Giving Groups is currently only possible on the web, but you can still join and support Giving Groups from the mobile app.

There are three ways to invite friends to your group:

Invite people by email with a personal message
Share a link to the group

Invite friends you're connected with on Charitable Impact

You can invite the friends you are connected with on Charitable Impact to join your group.

Select Giving Groups & Campaigns from the top of the page.
Select your Giving Group under the section Giving Groups you manage.
Select Edit.
Select Members, then Invite friends. If you’re connected to friends on Charitable Impact, you will see them listed on this page.
Select Invite to send an invitation to friends to join your group.

Invite people by email

You can also invite people via email and include a personal note with the invitation.

Select Giving Groups & Campaigns from the top of the page.
Select your Giving Group under the section Giving Groups you manage.
Select Edit.
Select Members, then Invite.
Scroll down. Under Invite people via email, enter the email addresses of people you want to invite.
Include a personal message with your invitation, if you’d like.
Select Send Invite.

Individuals who do not have an Impact Account will be invited to create an account to join your Giving Group as a member.

Invite members via link

You can invite members to your group by sharing the link to your Giving Group page. This link can also be shared via X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.

Note: If your group is set to private, people won’t be able to see or give to a private Giving Group unless they join as a member.
