Creating and editing your tax receipt profile

When you add money to your Impact Account for the first time, you’ll be asked to set up a tax receipt profile so that Charitable Impact can send you your tax receipt. The information you add to your tax receipt profile needs to include your legal name and address.

Adding a new tax receipt recipient

  1. Select Tax Receipts at the top of your screen. 
  2. Select the green Add new recipient button.
  3. Fill out the new tax receipt information and select Add
  4. If you would like this information to be used as your default tax receipt recipient, check the circle at the bottom of the form.

Editing a tax receipt recipient

  1. Select Tax receipts at the top of your screen.
  2. Find the tax receipt recipient profile you'd like to edit and select the three dots in the top-right corner. 
  3. Select Edit in the drop-down menu.
  4. Fill out the new tax receipt information and select Done

Changing the default tax receipt profile

If you set up a monthly gift with a tax receipt profile that isn’t up-to-date anymore, then you will need to cancel the gift and set it up again with the correct tax receipt profile. This ensures that any future tax receipts will have the correct mailing address. 

To change the default tax receipt profile: 

  1. Select Tax receipts at the top of your screen.
  2. Find the tax receipt recipient profile you'd like to make your default tax receipt profile and select the three dots in the top-right corner. 
  3. Check the circle at the bottom of the form.
  4. Select Done

Note:

When you add money to an Impact Account with multiple tax receipt profiles, the default tax receipt profile will automatically be selected. You can change the tax receipt profile for your deposit on the Review page by clicking Change underneath the selected Tax Receipt Recipient’s mailing address.
