Join or leave a Giving Group
Joining a Giving Group isn’t required to give to it, but you’ll need to join if you want to interact with group members. As a Giving Group member, you can post in the group, leave comments, and like other members’ posts.
You’ll also receive email notifications about group activity, including comments from other group members and updates from the group admins. If you only want to receive certain updates, you can adjust your email preferences at any time.

Join a Giving Group
On the Giving Group page, select Join group.
You can find Giving Groups you’ve joined in your Impact Account.
On the web:
- Select your Impact Account on the Home screen.
- Select Giving Groups & Campaigns in the left navigation.
- Select Joined to filter Giving Groups you have joined.
On the mobile app:
- Select Groups in the bottom navigation.
- Select the drop-down menu beside Giving Groups to filter Joined Giving Groups.
Note:
Only Impact Account owners can join Giving Groups. If you’re an admin of someone else’s account, you’ll need to switch to your own Impact Account to join a group.
If you don’t own an Impact Account and only have an admin role, please reach out to the Impact Account owner to join a Giving Group on your behalf.
Leave a Giving Group
If you no longer want to be a member of a Giving Group or receive notifications about its activity, you can leave the group at any time.
On the web:
- Select your Impact Account on the Home screen.
- Select Giving Groups & Campaigns in the left navigation.
- Select Joined to filter Giving Groups you have joined.
- Find the Giving Group you wish to leave, and select the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Leave group.
On the mobile app:
- Select Groups in the bottom navigation.
- Select the drop-down menu beside Giving Groups to filter Joined Giving Groups.
- Select the Giving Group you wish to leave.
- On the Giving Group page, select the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Leave group.
Access a private Giving Group
If a Giving Group is private, you need to be invited to join by a group admin in order to view the group page and join.
