Giving to a charity, Giving Group, or Campaign from your Impact Account

You can give the charitable dollars in your Impact Account to registered Canadian charities, or to Giving Groups or Campaigns on Charitable Impact. 

On the web:

  1. Log in to your Impact Account. 
  2. On your dashboard, select Create gift.
  3. Type the name of the charity, Giving Group, or Campaign you would like to give to in the search field. Please note that Campaigns are categorized with Giving Groups.
  4. Select the charity, Giving Group, or Campaign from the search results.
  5. Click Give. Note: if you’re giving to a Giving Group, you will need to join the group first. 
  6. Enter the gift amount.
  7. If you have multiple accounts, select the account you'd like to use from the Give from menu.
  8. Select the frequency in which you would like to send the gift: 
    1. Once - send the gift once 
    2. Monthly - send the gift once a month, on the 1st or 15th of each month. Note: some Giving Groups and Campaigns do not accept monthly gifts.  
  9. Select the information you would like to share with the charity, Giving Group, or Campaign. Note: the information shared is defaulted to the options you selected under Account settings and Information to share
  10. Optional: dedicate the gift. This will appear in your Account details. 
  11. Optional: include a message with your gift.
  12. Optional: include a note to yourself about the gift. 
  13. Click Continue.
  14. Review your gift details, then click Send gift.

On the mobile app:

  1. Log in to your Impact Account. 
  2. On the Home screen, select Create gift.
  3. Select Create a gift for a charity or Giving Group.
  4. Type the name of the charity, Giving Group or Campaign you would like to give to in the search bar. Note: Campaigns are categorized with Giving Groups.
  5. Select the charity, Giving Group, or Campaign from the search results.
  6. Select Give. Note: if you’re giving to a Giving Group, you will need to join the group first. 
  7. Enter the gift amount.
  8. Select your Impact Account from the Give from menu. 
  9. Select the frequency in which you would like to send the gift: 
    1. Once - send the gift once 
    2. Monthly - send the gift once a month, on the 1st or 15th of each month. Note: some Giving Groups and Campaigns do not accept monthly gifts.   
  10. Select the information you would like to share with the charity, Giving Group, or Campaign. Note: the information shared is defaulted to the options you selected under Account settings and Information to share
  11. Optional: dedicate the gift. This will appear in your Account details. 
  12. Optional: include a message with your gift.
  13. Optional: include a note to yourself about the gift. 
  14. Select Continue.
  15. Review your gift details, then select Send gift.

Note:

When sending a gift to a charity, your gift will be disbursed to them on the next scheduled disbursement date.
