Manage your personal profile privacy
You can choose whether to allow your personal profile to be discoverable on Charitable Impact. If your profile is discoverable, you’ll be able to select what information on your profile is visible to others.
Making your profile discoverable is an opportunity to let others see who you are friends with on Charitable Impact, and the Giving Groups you manage or are a member of.
Allowing your profile to be discoverable means that others will be able to:
- find you on Charitable Impact when they search for you
- view your profile when you send gifts
- view your profile when you interact with Giving Groups
- view your profile if your Impact Account profile is discoverable and your display name is made visible to the Public or Friends
Your personal profile is discoverable by default
As of October 21, 2019, your personal profile is set to discoverable by default when you sign up for an Impact Account. If you signed up for an Impact Account before October 21, 2019 your personal profile is not discoverable by default.
You can turn discoverability on or off at any time.

- Private - Information will only be visible to you
On the web:
- Select your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen, then select Settings.

To change the level of visibility, select the drop-down menu next to each category and select Public, Friends, or Private.
