Manage scheduled allowances and recipients
You can manage a Charitable Allowance, scheduled allowances, and recipients any time.
Learn how to:
- Edit a scheduled allowance
- Pause or resume a scheduled allowance
- Delete a scheduled allowance
- Remove recipients from Charitable Allowance
- Close a recipient’s Impact Account on the mobile app
Edit a scheduled allowance
- On the Charitable Allowance screen, find the recipient under the Scheduled allowances section.
On the web: Select the three dots to the right of the allowance amount and select Edit.
On the mobile app: Select the pencil icon next to the scheduled amount or next to your name.
- Update the amount, date, or frequency as needed.
- Select Save to confirm your changes.
Pause or resume a scheduled allowance
- On the Charitable Allowance screen, locate the recipient under Scheduled allowances.
On the web: Select the three dots to the right of the allowance amount and select Pause.
On the mobile app: Select Pause to temporarily stop the allowance.
- Select Resume to restart it when you're ready.
Delete a scheduled allowance
On the web:
- On the Charitable Allowance screen, find the recipient whose allowance you want to edit under Scheduled allowances.
- Select the three dots [...] to the right of the allowance amount.
- Select Edit.
- At the bottom of the screen, select Delete.
- Select Delete again to confirm.
On the mobile app:
- From the Scheduled allowances section, find the recipient.
- Select Delete.
- Review the confirmation message, then select Delete again to confirm.
Remove recipients from Charitable Allowance
To remove a recipient from Charitable Allowance:
- On the Charitable Allowance screen and under the Recipients section, select the three dots [...] on the recipient's name card.
- Select Remove from Charitable Allowance.
- On the web: Tick the checkbox if you want to close the recipient’s Impact Account.
Select Remove to complete the action.
Note:
Removing a recipient will cancel any upcoming scheduled allowances for them. Their Impact Account will remain open, but they will no longer be part of Charitable Allowance.
Close a recipient’s Impact Account on the mobile app
- From the Impact Account Overview, select the avatar in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Under Switch account, select the recipient’s Impact Account name. A dropdown will appear showing all accounts you’ve created.
- Select the account you wish to delete to switch into it.
- Once you're on the recipient’s Impact Account Overview screen, select the avatar again.
- Scroll down and select Privacy.
Select Close account.
