Important: Canada Post workers are on a national strike
Please do not mail cheque donations if you wish to receive a 2024 tax receipt. Instead, we encourage you to donate by credit card or direct debit.
If you prefer to courier a cheque to us, please make sure it’s received by Dec 31 at 12 pm (noon) Pacific Time to be eligible for a 2024 tax receipt.
We are working with charities to ensure they receive your gifts electronically.
About Giving Season
Giving Season takes place each year from October to December. It’s when the most donations are made and most gifts are sent to charities.

Tax receipts
We encourage donors to donate early to ensure they receive a 2024 tax receipt. Donations must be received by December 31, 2024 to be eligible.

How to deliver cheques during the holidays
We've partnered with Regus, our office-building neighbours, to provide you with convenience and security when delivering cheques to Charitable Impact. Regus can be reached at 604-687-5356.
- By courier: Send your cheques to Suite #1300, 1500 W Georgia St, Vancouver, BC V6G 2Z6, where they will be securely held for pickup by our team. We collect mail regularly to ensure prompt processing. Please address envelopes and cheques to Charitable Impact.
- Drop off in person: Bring your cheques to Suite #1300, 1500 W Georgia St, Vancouver, BC V6G 2Z6. When you arrive, take the elevator up to the 13th floor (no buzz required).
There will be someone available to receive your cheques from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, except on the following days:
- December 24 & 31: Cheques can be dropped off from 9 am – 12 pm.
- December 25 & 26: Cheques cannot be dropped off on these days due to holiday closure.
Cheques must be received by December 31 at 12 pm (noon) Pacific Time to receive a 2024 tax receipt.

Disbursement schedule
Charitable Impact disburses gifts to charities weekly if they have signed up for direct deposit, and twice monthly to charities receiving donations by cheque.
Cheque disbursements are on hold until the Canada Post workers strike is resolved. If your charity receives gifts by cheque, set up direct deposit to receive gifts sooner.
If you are a charity administrator, please be aware the final EFT disbursement date in December.
